If You Say You Know Him

Not here to boast, I’ve stumbled and I’ve cried,
But the Word says try, so I lay down my pride.
We’re all broken vessels, just clay in the hand,
But the Potter calls us higher, to walk as He commands.
Don’t call yourself His if you love what He hates,
Grace isn’t freedom to keep sinning at the gate.
If you claim His Name but ignore what He said,
First John said it clear: the truth’s left your head.

If you say you know Him, but you will not obey,
First John, chapter two, verse four: He calls that a lie today.
If you live in your sin, you don’t know Him at all,
First John three, verse six: He’s waiting for your call.
He said, ‘Depart from Me, I never knew you,
You workers of lawlessness’: let His warning move you.
No one is perfect but the Righteous Son,
But those who truly love Him walk as He has done.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, not play religious games,
Confessing Yahushua, but still living the same.
We all need mercy, but mercy leads to change,
He wrote the law on our hearts so we’d never be the same.
Obedience is love, it’s not just a rule,
It’s a way to say “thank You,” it’s the fear of the Fool.
So don’t fool yourself, don’t claim what’s not true,
If you know Him for real, your life will show fruit.

Don’t let comfort blind you, don’t let feelings decide,
The path of salvation is narrow and tried.
It’s not about perfection, but direction of heart,
Each day is a battle, but we’re set apart.
Yahusha said plainly, “Follow My way,”
Not just in our words, but in how we obey.
Our faith isn’t silent, it’s alive and it speaks,
It’s found in our choices, in the way that we seek.

Come out of the darkness, into His marvelous light,
Confess your need for mercy, surrender in the fight.
No shame in repentance, He’s faithful and true,
If you truly love the Master, let your heart follow through.

They say love is all grace, but forget what it costs,
Yahusha bore lashes, a crown, and a cross.
He gave up His life, so how can we stay
In sin and pretend we’re walking His way?
Love tells the truth, even when it cuts deep,
It calls us to holiness and wakes those who sleep.
This isn’t religion: it’s covenant life,
It’s dying to sin and fleeing from strife.

There’s mercy for the humble, there’s hope for the lost,
But grace was not cheap: look again at the cost.
He calls you by name, He calls you to rise,
To live in the truth, to walk in His light.

We’re not called to be perfect, but we’re called to pursue,
If you claim His Name, let obedience be true.
Mercy covers failures, but excuses will fail,
Let the Spirit lead you on the ancient, narrow trail.
He’s patient, He’s holy, He’s calling you still,
Choose Yahusha’s way, surrender your will.
