HOW TO TEST A TEACHER

Isaiah 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
Matthew 7:16-20 "Ye shall know them by their fruits... Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."
Deuteronomy 13:1-3 "If there arise among you a prophet... and the sign or the wonder come to pass... saying, Let us go after other gods... Thou shalt not hearken."

SIGNS OF FALSE TEACHERS

They Teach Lawlessness

Say the law is done away with, grace covers willful sin, or God's commandments don't matter.

"Whosoever shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least..." - Matt 5:19

They Love Money

Prosperity gospel, seed faith manipulation, selling "blessings," private jets while the flock suffers.

"Through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you" - 2 Peter 2:3

They Deny the Messiah

Deny His deity, His Torah observance, His literal return, or that He is the only way to salvation.

"Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God" - 1 John 4:3

They Mix Truth with Lies

Use scripture out of context, add pagan traditions, mix worldly philosophy with the Word.

"A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump" - Galatians 5:9

They Seek Personal Glory

Build their own kingdoms, demand titles, love the praise of men, won't submit to correction.

"How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another..." - John 5:44

They Produce Bad Fruit

Their followers are lawless, worldly, divided, and lack the fruits of the Spirit.

"By their fruits ye shall know them" - Matthew 7:20

COMMON FALSE DOCTRINES TO AVOID

Once Saved Always Saved

Teaching you can live in willful sin and still be saved. Contradicts Hebrews 10:26-27 and dozens of other scriptures.

Prosperity Gospel

God wants you rich, name it and claim it, seed faith manipulation. Contradicts Matthew 6:19-21 and 1 Timothy 6:10.

Replacement Theology

The church replaced Israel, God is done with the Jews. Contradicts Romans 11 entirely.

Pre-Trib Rapture

Secret rapture before tribulation, won't face persecution. Contradicts Matthew 24:29-31 and 2 Thess 2:1-4.

Hebrew Roots Extremism

Denying Paul's writings, mandatory Hebrew names only, salvation by law-keeping. Adding to the gospel.

Universal Salvation

Everyone goes to heaven eventually, no eternal judgment. Contradicts Revelation 20:15 and Matthew 25:46.
